Laberinto Pinot Noir 'Cenizas' 2020

One might typically reference the cool coastal regions of Chile for fine Sauvignon, but Laberinto's superlative delicacies come from vines high in the Andes. We met Rafael Tirado, the man behind this unique project, last year and we were fascinated by his story. His vineyards are technically in the Maule Valley, a very large wine region, but he and his family are in the far eastern reaches of the valley, on a lake at 600 meters. There are no other vineyards in the area, though one wonders when that might change, as Rafael's wines are clearly among the very best in Chile.
