Meet us at the shop between 4:30 and 6:30 today please. If you can make it, don't miss it. If you can't make it, find a way...
Grifalco makes amazing wines. Four of them. From $16 Gricos all the way up, each of their wines is worth following at least 10 years, they are that good. I've got a 2015 Damaschito in hand, and I'll decant it when I arrive at the shop, as there's no way 6 to 8 hours of air will hurt this wine. I probably should have double decanted it 12 hours ago...
Lorenzo Piccin, one of two brothers that run Grifalco, organic vineyards and minimalist winery dedicated to Aglianico, will join us today from 4:30 to 6:30. Let's taste and learn a bit about the crafting of fine wine, there will be much to glean from Lorenzo's experience and thoughtfulness. I don't know anyone who coaxes more elegance out of Aglianico, and I believe you'll be brought to my side if you taste with us today. If you think you've had enough Aglianico, you haven't been drinking Grifalco...
