Zoom Tasting: Vins de la Famille Hubert

Guillaume, Rachel & Jean-Luc Hubert

Don't expect to find a lot of organic farming in Bordeaux, it's just not there. The region is dominated by big names and big commerce, and it seems that most of these concerns are not willing to take the risk of a financial hit when a vintage is tough. Why not just spray toxic chemicals on your grapes so you can have more of them? There are so many reasons why not....

One of the reasons we love the wines of the Hubert family is that they are made from grapes grown in their certified organic and biodynamic vineyards. The main reason we love their wines, however, is that they are delicious; at once easy-going and complex, representing so well the balance that is sought through blending the famous grapes of Bordeaux.

It is with great pleasure that we announce our first Zoom tasting. It will take place on Sunday, November 14th, from 3pm to 4pm. Rachel Hubert will join us to lead the tasting, and she will present four of her family's wines. See the lineup below:

  • 2019 Peybonhomme-Les Tours Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux Blanc - $27

  • 2019 Peybonhomme-Les Tours Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux - $18

  • 2019 La Grolet Bourg Côtes de Bordeaux - $18

  • 2018 Peybonhomme-Les Tours Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux 'Energies' - $33

We know that four bottles might be too much for some groups, so if you want to participate with less liquid, we can offer a sample of each wine for $27. You will receive 150ml bottles of each of the four bottles featured at the tasting. They will be available for pick up on the afternoon and evening of Saturday November 13th, as well as after 11am on Sunday November 14th.

Purchase all four bottles of wines above we will knock 10% off your order (total:$86.40) or purchase a tasting kit (four 150ml samples) for $27. Either purchase will get you an invitation to the Zoom tasting. Hope you are able to join us!

Please send an email to orders@craftandcru.com to place your orders and reserve your spot at the tasting.
